Oct 07, 2006 (Sat): Savor the Vine Wine Tours provides guided tours to 3 local vineyards and wineries. Tours begin at 11 AM at Chatham Hill Winery in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina and provide a comfortable, fun and safe alternative to self-directed driving. Prior to each visit a history of the vineyard and winery is provided. This intimate knowledge helps both the wine enthusiast and novice understand how unique each family-owned, boutique winery is. The all-inclusive ticket covers chartered transportation, lunch and tasting fees. Turkey sandwich will be served unless vegetarian option is emailed to us. Wineries visited rotate monthly. Information on wineries that we currently visit is found on the "Links" page on our web site (www.SavorTheVine.com). Would you like to learn about organic wine production in a stunning location in the South West of France? This is a fantastic all expenses paid opportunity for one woman from the Ipswich area. You dont need to know anything about wine but you should be interested to learn about organic growing and be prepared to muck in. Youll also need to be free to go to France (at our expense) about five times (for 1-2 weeks a time) over the next year or so. The catch is that this is being filmed for a new documentary series. We are following life at the vineyard from planting to the sale of the first bottle so youll need to be happy to be on camera when in France.
